Whether used in summer or winter, surfaces for playing sports must be durable and able to cope with regular use whatever the weather. With this in mind, we have especially selected a seed mix of top-rated STRI (The Sports Turf Research Institute) cultivars for our Pro Sports Turf, which results in a specialist sports turf which is not only hardwearing and disease resistant, but also quick to establish, and boasts excellent recovery qualities.
Grown on a sandy loam root zone on our farm in Suffolk, our unique mix of 50% Perennial Rye Grass, 20% Smooth Stalk Meadow Grass, 15% Strong Creeping Red Fescue and 15% Slender Creeping Red Fescue – and carefully maintained during the growing period – results in a Pro Sports Turf that is tough yet attractive.
As well as being the best choice for winter sports pitches, playing fields and golf courses, our Pro Sports Turf is an excellent option for parks and gardens, especially those which expect a high footfall on their lawns.
