At Payne's Turf we believe in paying attention to detail. All of our turf is grown from our own seed mixtures using only top STRI (The Sports Turf Reseach Institute) cultivars for high germination, good establishment and disease resistance.

All of Payne's Turf meet the exacting standards set by the TGA (Turfgrass Growers Association) and is grown in the Tendring Hundred area of North East Essex, which is well known for its high quality loam soil. This is ideally suited for excellent turf establishment on a wide range of soil types.

Carefully scheduled seeding programs by Payne's Turf ensure availability all year round and we can supply in the depths of winter, conditions allowing, or in the height of summer, thanks to the farms extensive irrigation system.

Modern Production Methods

Payne's Turf current production methods are the result of many years of experience, and attention to detail, from seed bed preperation and sowing through to mowing and final harvesting.

Regular mowing, spraying, feeding, rolling and irrigation are undertaken to ensure an even, thick and weed free dark green sward, which remains an even consistency throughout the whole year.

Turf is not harvested until it is fully mature and we are satisfied that it meets the high standards that Payne's Turf customers have become accustomed to.

Eco Friendly Delivery!

Payne's Turf run their own fleet of vehicles using only bio diesel from Anglia Eco Fuels in-line with their eco-friendly environmental policy. They deliver throughout the UK and offer an excellent delivery service at short notice. Usually if orders are received in our office by midday, we can assure delivery the following day. However, as you would expect, everything is dependant on the size of your order and the availability of our vehicles.

All of Payne's Turf vehcles are fitted with a piggy-back fork-lift allowing our drivers to deliver turf to a place of your convenience at no extra cost.
