Premium Top Soil

Premium top Soil is friable, fertile and open in structure. It is particularly good as a pre Turf Top Soil offering the perfect medium for Turf to establish. Premium Top Soil is also excellent for soil improvement in borders and ideal for Tree and Shrub planting.

Turf production in Suffolk

October 2008 saw the start of our first winter turf harvesting in suffolk.

The decision to expand turf production in to Suffolk was made primarily for the benefits of the Sandy/Loam soil type which is free draining, so ideal for winter harvesting.

So now even in the wettest conditions we can usually harvest turf that are light and easy to handle. This combined with our existing production in North Essex on a Medium Loam soil type, gives us excellent continuity all year round.

Payne’s turf used to stunning affect in award winning project !

Payne’s turf are very proud to have supplied turf to Oakview Landscapes, for their BALI (British association of Landscape industries) award winning Warley hospital project.

Oakview Landscapes chose Payne’s Premium grade (25% Rye Mix) for the project, premium grade is becoming very popular particularly due to its excellent establishment, consistent quality and superb appearance.

The project consisted of a Victorian era brick and stone courtyard, comprising of shrub and herbaceous planting, with a high quality circular lawn.

Oakview landscapes came up against some of the best landscapers in the UK to win the prestigious award !
