Essex turf grower and supplier, Paynes Turf, has recently acquired a new Scania lorry to join its expanding fleet. Proudly displaying new livery, the addition of the new L7 is testament to the company’s commitment for growth within the turf industry. This significant investment will allow the 40-year old company to meet increasing demand for its products across the country.
The new lorry replaces an older L7 and joins the company’s fleet of FORS-accredited vehicles. Each of the nine lorry in the fleet is fitted with custom-built smart GPS tracking systems, which allows the drivers to choose the fastest routes, and feature piggy-back forklift unloading.
John Payne, Partner at Paynes Turf said:
“We pride ourselves on offering an efficient, reliable service. Our fleet enables us to deliver direct to our customers without having to rely on couriers, and enables us to meet our customers specific needs; the biggest benefit to our customers is our forklift unloading service which allows us to deliver our products exactly where required.”
Paynes Turf products include turf, a range of topsoils and border bark. Premium Grade and Pro Sports Turf is supplied in conventional rolls of 1sqm and in big rolls of 20sqm, with the appropriate laying equipment supplied for the latter.
